Chef Richard Alford wins three out of four competitions in back to back weeks. First was Holland, MI where he was able to run away with the peoples choice vote. Over 1200 people voted and Richard had almost half the votes! Great Job Chef.

In the Professional event he wins again, but this time the margin for victory was much closer. Close on his heals was Chef Nicole Bennett in second place (again) just missing first place by less than 1/2 a point. In third the field was rounded out by Chef Robert Childers from Chicago. Robert was also within a point of first place.

One week later Chef travels back to his hometown to compete once again in the Saturday Morning Home Grown Vegetable Carving Competition. Chef Richard won this event in 2008 just edging out Chef Bennet again. This time around Chef Doug Ganhz comes to play and nocks him of the high horse. This was very close, within a point. A few back from second was Chef Bennet in third place.

But once again the hometown favorite Chef Alford wins the peoples choice with and easy to count vote. I don't think there was even a second place the way the votes came in.
